Home Is Wherever I'm With You...

The trip is almost coming to an end and although it’s been Monday kind of crazy every day I find myself suddenly free for the next 30 minutes. Which is awesome, because I get to blog about how little time I’ve spent in recreational activities, this work trip. There was and is so much to cover that the office folks here decided to make us stay another week. Which is all good because maybe then I get to see a little bit more of the city.

I mean don’t doubt me, even after a work day that felt like numerous consecutive rounds of being boxed in the head I have dragged myself to Chinatown to have my favorite tea in the world, Boba Tea. I have also compelled myself to click an ungodly number of touristy pics in Fisherman’s Wharf. The usual, you know. I have met the in laws, the ex-room-mate, the ex-team-mate, the ex-pub-mates and had a good time somewhere between all the crazies. So as I enter the home run of this trip, I’m dreaming about the sunny side up eggs I get in bed every weekend or the cuddles or the pillow talk or the random whatsapp conversation with sister. There is an exaggerated homesickness this time because well, my little kid sister starts her brand new college life in whole new city all by herself. This is making me feel nostalgic, emotional and happy all at the same time and I’m having some major empty nest feeling even though I haven’t lived with that bugger for 9 years. Yikes! I guess the baby of the family always does remain the baby of the family.

So, obviously, I can’t wait to be submerged by everything that is home to me – But not before I walk on the ground that was home to my favorite musician.

After The Radio Silence

I know. Radio silence can be a bitch. And that’s all you got here off late.

But can you identify with the time when you’re life has nothing exciting and you’re just lazing around one day after another with no motivation of doing anything at all? Well, the past few weeks were NOTHING like this. I’ve been hella busy! With work (but, of course) and in my personal space as well.

And if you thought I was complaining….hell, no! I’m soaking in every minute of my crazy busy schedule that is eventually going to lead into one of the most important days in anybody’s life. So yea, I’m good. Mr. Cool-as-cucumber-boyfriend is coping quite well too. Except the times when you know the day has dealt you more than what you can handle. On days like that you will hear random shite like “This is my driving face.” But it’s time to say b-bye to the driving face thanks to the abnormal  hike in petrol prices last week. People went berserk it affected the nation’s travel plans and my swimming plans.

With “b-bye Driving Face” comes “Hello Metro/Subway/Tube.” Honestly, though it is slightly cumbersome to travel for an hour in the Delhi Metro, thanks to the huge distances, it’s also insanely fun. Oh, the variety of people that you meet and see!

There’s always the girl who cannot get enough of phone conversations with her boyfriend. Sitting or standing she’s always animatedly talking into the phone.
And the bunch of girls who discuss every minute aspect of their lives with each other in their loud voices, as result subjecting the entire Women’s compartment to a narration of life in her shoes. Boyfriend’s cheating, work sucks, husband’s lazy. You name it and I bet she’s facing that problem.
And then there are the ones that like to play music out loud. From their phones. Oblivious of the ‘No loud music’ signs carefully stuck above the doors and everywhere else.
The women who hop in to the metro and do their very best to exude an air that says “I never take public transport…but my car broke down/driver called in sick etc etc.”
Oh, the women with the kids. Who let their kid run around the entire metro screaming, squealing, punching random people and more. It’s safe to say that the entire crowd lives in the fear of actually having do deal with these moving/running/squealing time bombs.
And then there are the likes of me. Who sit, look around, listen to some music (not loudly) and observe people. Carefully toeing the line between being aloof and downright creepy.

I can’t wait for the entertainment to start.

Weekend Trip & Music Monday #6

Everybody needs a little break. And that's exactly what we got this past weekend. We went to Mussorie, a nice little quaint hill station some 6/7 hours away from Delhi. Considering how the temperature levels in Delhi have reached are-you-crazy levels, this was a very good idea and such a bliss. Also, since I'm addicted to Instagram (now that it is available for Android) so I'm going to tell you the rest of the story in Instagram (more or less).

It started with the expected greenery and mountains.
The most beautiful cottage and an equally comfy room. I don't think I'm really the hardcore
backpacking kind - I NEED a good and super comfy, double mattress beds that you can absolutely sink in.
And super cute kids who don't actually make a lot of noise but are fun to watch.
I'm not a big kid person. But these kids? They were actually FUN!
Wild Daisies. We went to the highest point of the hill station.
And we found thousands of these at ~6000ft !
Also, there is no limit to how much you can eat when you're in the hills. It's crazy. I felt like I had 2 breakfast, lunches and dinners.

On that note. We even found some cotton candy.
We took one and some 20 people ate out of it -
each and everyone reliving a vital part of their childhood.
And the lady bug that sent all the kids in a crazy frenzy. I know, awful pic but
this is the maximum my Android phone can do.
And after the most bumpy bus ride ever - HOME!
Well, Home is always good and Mondays are almost always a drag. So here's some music to get rid rid of your Monday blues: Drive By - Train

Not This Me

You know, when you see some of those classic new age chick flicks and they show those busy men talking into 3 phones at the same time? No time for play, no time for friends & let alone a girlfriend. They don't return calls from family and don't know the names of the people reporting to him. The secretary does all the work, sends flowers, collects laundry et al.

Well, for starters I don't have a secretary. But I'm afraid I'm becoming that person. The one who doesn't remember birthdays or send flowers or forgets to return calls. In my defense though, I haven't forgotten a birthday and I was always bad with phone calls. But I feel like I have such less time for people. I'm on the phone almost always and when I'm not on the phone I'm on the laptop sending some damned report. Weekends, I'm too tired.

Okay, this was not the plan. That is not the person I want to become. The kind who is going through life in a hurry and everything else is a haze. Where I have no time for the people who matter or where I snap when I'm too stressed. Nope. Not becoming that.

But then my friend got admitted in the hospital because of his appendix. You'd think an organ which is of no use in your body would sit quietly without making much fuss. But no. I mean imagine the audacity of that stupid vestigial organ making life hell for you. So much so that you'll end up needing an emergency procedure. I was there at the hospital that evening.

And then M went through a rough patch with the boyfee. Her text on a Friday mroning totally shook most of us. I called her some...I don't know...bazillion times.

Last night as I lay down desperately hoping I haven't missed My Kitchen Rules episode. I thought maybe I haven't crossed over to No-Friend-No-Love-No-Love-Only-Work side of life yet. I make time when I have to. I just have buck up and do it more often. And take work a little less seriously. Leave the stress at the workplace.

I want to be my mom who would come from work and experiment with a dish that all of us swore we would never eat again or wake up in the morning and make sure she sits outside with her tea for atleast 10 mins. I want to be my dad who always had just enough ebergy left to get stuff for my art project or take me out to have my favorite ice-cream.

There was always enough energy, enough love, enough heart.

First Day At Work

The last time I remember being genuinely nervous and having sweaty palms was in 2004 as I entered my college gates. Today, surprisingly, I was nervous! Ah, Mr. Change, why this kolaveri di?

But once the initial moment is over - it's amazing how easy things get. The best part was I knew everything about the things they talked about, but then, I guess that was the point of hiring me. Also, there is office boy who actually gets your coffee/tea right to your desk...yes, right to your desk! However right in the middle of the work day everything became a major blur...afternoon siesta time. But then I willed myself back to consciousness. It was my first day of work in a looong time - had to etch it in my memory.

However, I was the first to reach work, courtesy Mr. B driving me down. 'No! My baby's not going to work alone on her first day' - he put his foot down & I was more than happy to let him. SO I looked around the office, got an early cup of coffee, made plans on how I should decorate my desk while the others arrived. Once the zillion forms had been filled out and the bank account with 1500 priviledges set up, we had 2 hours to while away. Which is too bad...because all I wanted to do was run to B, who was 3 buildings away and give him a detailed account of how my day was. First day impressions are important!

So, the first day was pretty much perfect and subdued considering I didn't have to battle it against the Delhi Metro. I'll give you an update once I start using it. Because I may be a Public Transport Ninja...but commuting via Delhi Metro is no mean feat.

Take A Giant Leap Of Faith With Me

It's been 18 days since I've been here. I don't think I've been away from the blog that long since it started. It's going to become 1 year old in a week from now. How time flies. Anyhow, the shutdown was part intentional, part forced. I wanted to get rid of everything while I focused and concentrated on getting that right job. Sometimes it helps to not be distracted... by the internet I mean.

So while I plunge myself into the Road Never Traveled I'm scared, excited and skeptical at the same time. B-Boy is his usual positive self and for some reason my friends (my real friends, that is) have this indelible faith in me which more often than not leaves me flabbergasted. Also, thankfully somehow that last week or so has been jam-packed with events with no time to think about how I was going to tackle the future. Between friends, alcohol, overflowing love and catty fights it's easy to forget things that will eventually come and scare the daylights out of you.

So here I am a week from my joining date, 5 days from Christmas, 10 days from the New Year -  and all I can think about is that what a pleasant surprise this last year was! I remember thinking - Bring it on, 2011! and boy, did it bring it on and how!

There were goodbyes, but there were also amazing, fabulous new friendships forged. There were tears but there were also side-splitting, loud, insane laughter. We were broke but we splurged. We broke down but then we were so, so strong! There were fights but we also made up. This was the year, that gave us a lot but also took away loads, that changed us but also let us remain the same. And while remembering this, I realize it was really all about the faith.

That's what I like about the New Years - it makes you hopeful. That little glimmer of hope that tells everything's going to be alright. So, that's what I'm doing. I'm hoping and keeping the faith and asking you to take a Leap Of Faith with me. A giant leap of faith, at that.

Not Easy, A Settler & Bitch Bashing

It's not easy without constant internet access. But it's easy to fall out of an old routine and into a new one, especially if the new routine defines Lazy. It's easy to take care of people you love, relentlessly.

What is not easy is to stop missing your Plus Ones. It's not easy to stop missing your morning Costa coffee. It's not easy to keep up with the patience you absolutely need for a job hunting spree.

But on the brighter side I can say the phrase which has always intrigued me - I'm in between jobs!

Really, I've always wondered what that would sound like when I say it like I mean it. Well now I know. It usually gets people thinking the following:

1. You're no good.
2. You can't hold a job.
3. You're nutcase for not having a back up before leaving.

Well, they've obviously never taken risks in life. The thing is I'm not a Settler. I can't settle for things that don't motivate, or make me feel good about me. Or things that are not taking me anywhere. That is why I can't settle for the 2 penny company jobs that are coming my way. I want the Right thing.

In other things, I'm totally hating on this big fat chick who thinks I-don't-know-what about herself. The only thing worse than a raving mad bitch is a bitch who pretends to be your friend. Have the decency to say what you have to on a person's face. And maybe I wouldn't be venting it out had it been about me. But you hurt a loved one - then you better gear up for all of my wrath/fury.

The thing about hate is, it is blinding and blinding in waves. Sometimes the hate is so blinding I swear had she been anywhere near me I could pass her through a shredder. Ok, I don't want her to die and all, no I'm not saying that but I do hope she gains like 10 pounds before her wedding, becomes downright obese in the next 6 months, falls flat on her face and accidentally ends up swimming in sewage water.

The boy thinks that we shouldn't be banking on a couple of people to tell us the absolute truth about somebody. I'm of the school of belief that there is no smoke without fire. So here's to hoping that I don't meet her anytime soon. And I'll try out my very well concealed zen-like state for now.

I Hate This Part Right Here

The last few days have been a roller coaster ride. No not the 3 days for drinking out my wits part. But the emotional part.

I'm sitting in this room, tea in hand, remembering how much that Costa Coffee in office I miss I can't help but tear up a little bit. No. I'm not in love with that coffee. It just reminds me of everything and everyone I love and adore in the Big G. Reminds me of the routine that has been a part of me for the last 4 odd years, defined me even. Well, I always knew that leaving Big G would be the toughest thing I've ever had to do.

Going through the customary 'exit' motions of the day I made it a point to not think about it. Now was not the time. After realizing that all formalities could not be completed today I started to relax and by that I mean I stopped running around/pushing people away from me like a seasoned rugby player. Then I set out to send out my goodbye email...and that's when it struck me. Deep Breath. I needed to thank these people who have been everything I wanted and could have asked for :

The first friends I ever made. Thank you for making those first days a lot more bearable and less scary.
The friends who grew on me over time. Thank you for making me realize that first impressions are not always right.
The husband and wife who were more than happy to make their home my weekend retreat.
To the friends who couldn't be more unlike each other. Thank you for re-instating that opposites do attract.
The girls who were ready to forgive, forget (& beyond) every mistake I ever made and in fact cover for it too.
For the guys whom I probably owe in crores. Thank you for all the ciggies you let me bum off you.
For the boys and girls who were friends, family and philosophers & more.
And of course the better half.

I made a conscious effort to not think too much about it while I was leaving, going through all the 'lasts'. The last time I swiped my badge, the last lunch, the last every-damn-thing. I didn't want to bawl my eyes out and scare the living daylights out of everyone around me. So I just concentrated on the good part - I'll meet all of them 2 days later, I can come here anytime I want, I can sell my stocks anytime I want. What almost undid me were the sad, trying-to-control-the-tears look on M's and URoy's faces. And the replies from friends far away. I still haven't replied back...I will when I can get myself to do it.

So, while I don't know what to do without you guys I'm sure things will fall into place eventually. Like someone said, "Sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together." I'm banking on whoever said this.

But this part right here, where I'm twirling my cup of tea & trying hard to reason with myself, I hate it. I hate this part right here.

It's Better To Burn Out, Than To Fade Away

I've had a lot of time to think these past few days since it hasn't been as crazy or whirlwind as my life usually tends to be. I'll be leaving the Big G soon. Next week, in fact. It's a long story that I don't want to get into. But the fact remains - How the in the living hell am I supposed to go through with it?

I mean, technically speaking I've already gone through with it - what with giving in the papers and all. But Big G is the only the thing I have known since college. Only thing I've sworn by. It gave a me a family, a family I chose. Everybody tends to say that when you leave college is when you step into the big bad world of corporate life. It doesn't really hold true when your with the Big G. It is now, as I move on to some other job will I be stepping into the big bad world for reals. But I ain't fizzling out - I'm gonna go out with a bang (or party, whatever you want to call it). Party till we drop on that last. There will be time to brood later.

So, dear reader who may also be recruiting, you are amaz... - Take me by the tongue...And I'll know you ..Kiss me 'til you're drunk, And I'll show you...All the moves like Jagger! I've got the moves like Jagger! I've got the moooooooooooves like Jaggerrrr...

Oh Sorry! I break into songs sometimes. Sorry about that.

So coming back to the point. You're so amazing that I'd catch a grenade for you (Bruno Mars Style). Please give me a job? I'm good. And I have a healthy IQ and EQ (refer to the first lines of the post) and I know how to balance my work and personal life (again, refer to the first few lines of the post) . Wouldn't you agree?

OK, now that's done I'd love for things to look a little better personally and professionally. Because just before I become jobless I'm going to rock-out in a Metallica concert. I know, very high-school/college student-y - but a legend is a legend, yo! Followed by of course the going-to-be-epic first time ever Formula One event in India. Yes, I'm psyched.

Too many different emotions converging in this melting pot of life. Sad, worried, happy, ridiculousness - feeling quite a few things right now. Oh but I'd deal with it (again), don't worry. Just think about that job, ok? And I'll think about that party.

Curve Ball Or Dodge Ball

I'm tired of serious posts & I'm tired of Life playing the serious card right now. And like I promised myself way back - be it curve balls or dodge balls I'm going to keep it light. Because there isn't enough time to sit and repent and/or sulk.

So, a few days back when all my work related BS started, I let myself be bogged down. I'll be honest, I considering going on an evil manslaughter spree (with a borrowed .45) in the office and then finally jump from the 15th floor of the building. I'm not sure, if there is a terrace up there but I would've figured that out when I got there. But soon it dawned on me that all this is pointless. So I just proceeded to read this article on 'how to disagree with your boss.' And the only piece of useful advice the whole WikiHow article had was - Remember, ultimately they are the boss.

Then I realized that this shouldn't be a biggie for me. I'll figure things out, like always. And with B (he really does make a lot of sense most of the time) this should be easier. Figuring things out that is. And well, at least I haven't lost a limb or a loved one or I didn't fall of a building (though I did contemplate it) or I'm not ugly and I don't have body odor or ugly body rashes.

And then A told me - Dude, who're you kidding?! Remember that dry spell that lasted 2 years? Remember the time when you didn't date for those 2 years? Or remember the time when you decided to go into a long distance relationship with an Arab guy you hardly knew?! Or the time you couldn't eat for 10 days because of your freakking wisdom tooth that never came out! Suck it up, P!

Ahhh, sometimes, all you need is some perspective. And yes, I've had bigger problems in life.

ABCs Of My Life

Quote of the day:

I've heard her called a quitter for leaving, an aimless wanderer. But not all who wander are aimless
~Mona Lisa Smile

---------------------------------------------------------------

A is for amazing muscle memory - Even when I've changed my phone twice in the last 2 years and don't have someone's (who was important to me) number stored I can still dial that number. Again,  Amazing muscle memory.

B is for Brain - My Brain only lets me focus on one thing for say 10 mins. Max! In the middle of some important work it'll throw me off with something like "Do you know you haven't talked to your college room mate in almost Two years?! What do you think you should do?" That spells the end of a really productive morning.

C is for cold - It could be bang in the middle of the summers. But if the AC is on I will still feel cold after 2 hours in the room.

D is for Delays - It's hard, like put-a-gun-to-my-head-and-I-won't-do-it hard, for me to wake up on time in the morning. For work. On the rare occasion that I do, the universe conspires to make sure I still reach work after 9:30. Today it was a flat tyre.

E is for emoticons - I use emoticons atleast 15 times in a 5 min conversation. Not when I'm writing though.

F is for (bwahahahha) Fucker - favorite cuss word. Actually it's motherfucker - but M is too down in the alphabetic order.

G is for green tea - Green Tea sucks ass. I'm going to have it anyway. Somebody told me it's good for the waistline, dammit.

Just Another Day At Work

Sometimes, work seems overwhelming so you write something like 'Fuck Everything' as your Facebook status. However, soon after FB makes your account 'Temporary Unavailable.' Then a friend pings you...

Yash: why is your fb profile unavailable?
Me: I dont know!!
i just tried to log in and its says
account temp unavailable
:(
Yash: you just tried to fuck everything that was not required
that was not to be fucked around with
Me:hahahhaha
idiot
Yash: seriously
I can't comment
Me:seriously i can't see my profile
:|

But seriously, it was one of the most educative random GTalk chats I've ever had:

Did you know in Hyderabad there is a flyover called 'Telugu Talli'?
Talli in Hindi is slang for getting drunk. So there is actually a flyover celebrating drunkenness? Not quite. Talli in Telugu means Mother. Next Mothers' Day I'm going to send a card to my Mom saying 'Happy Talli Day.' Just for kicks.

Murphy's Law Of Typos: If you've made a hilarious typo while you're chatting, you will continue make that typo unless you end the chat or switch topics.

Yash: BTW why are you Idli?
oh, I mean, idle
Me: I have no idea!
Yash: It's weird
You and me chatting with you Idli.
Damn! Idle.
Me: Obviously, you like Idli
A LOT.
Yash: No! I hate Idlis!

FYI - Idli's are a type of South Indian dish that you get...well, everywhere.

Life's Never Boring!

You're going to office early, attending meetings like a Boss, working like a slave, leaving office at 11pm AND doing this for 2 weeks straight. So you sit up and  say 'It's the middle of the week. I neeeed a break. We're going to go get sloshed.' And of course you're friends agree because they are chill like that. And also, because ex-roomie will be leaving soon and we obviously need a farewell which involves copious amounts of alcohol.

We are down pat with the crazy shit alright! But getting the cops chasing after us is crazy in our books too.

Yes, we had them running after us. When the clubs threw us out we started dancing in the raining in the parking lot with the volume pumped up. Some of us were feeling pretty brave and decided to dance on top of our cars. And I was feeling braver than usual, so when V came and told me 'I think we should move, the cops will come and that...' I said ' OHH! there's music playing we'll make them dance as well.'
Turns out not. 2 minutes later they came running with those fat ass sticks in their hands. I've never seen a gang of drunken people move so swift. Especially us.

Dear God, I said I wanted a break not break a bone!

In other good news, I'm going to Jaipur. Thanks to awesome thinking/socializing/decision-making skills of B we landed ourselves quite a steal of a deal for a weekend trip to Jaipur AKA Pink City. It's called the Pink City because majority of the houses are painted in pink! A guy's worst nightmare, noh? I can't wait to spend my weekend in that super lush spa and laze around and basically do nothing but roll in my bed. Weekend, come soon!

Dream Man > Dream Job

In 2007 I came across this company that arranged backpacking tours and I said, "This is where I want to work." I declared it my dream job.

Today. That company came up with a job posting. The posting is such that it might give me an edge over the others who apply, provided they are not in the same company as me!

In 2010, I met this boy. I said, "It can't get perfecter." (I'd hate myself if I just jinxed it!).

Is it really a tug of war of Dream Man Vs Dream Job? Well, considering how much whining I did when I was in London, this backpacking thing may or may not be my dream job. It could go both ways, no? And it's in Mumbai! I've had a taste of the city and I dare say it's not like I'm super psyched to be there.

So I'm going to stick with the dream man for now. Because, frankly, I'm not even sure if that's the dream job. Bye Bye Backpacking, Hellloooo Mr B!

PS: Expect a super emotional post pretty soon. This wedding bug is no gooood! AT ALL!

June 15, 2011

What..Why...Ughh...FUCK IT! I'm In London!

I had made a conscious choice to not do a elaborate quarter life crisis post in my blog, because I believed I would never face it. Till I did. There is reason to me not being in action in this Blog in the past 2 weeks. Post vacation trauma added to the injury, I imagine. There were things that were looking bleak and every day I'd get up thinking 'What the hell am I doing with this life?' and 'Is this really what I want?' It was just a really bad patch. I mean I still don't have any definites in terms of knowing what to do and all, but those 2 weeks were, well...nightmarish. Did not help that Mr. B was going through the same throes of crisis induced thinking, ya know?

But then I blinked and I was on a plane to London. This was in the making for, well, 2 weeks but I did not think about it much till only like a couple of days were left. I almost wrote that quarter life piece on this blog. London saved you guys from being assaulted with THAT!

I'm doing the whole touristy thing. I've got Tower Bridge, River Thames, Big Ben, London Eye, Oxford Street (Without the shopping), King's Cross, The British Library checked off my list already! And it's been only 3 days! I'm telling you there is no replacement for awesomeness.

And all this in the face of an obstacle called - 'Someone-Who-Talks-Nonstop-In-Baby-Voice'

No really, yesterday, I saw the majestic charm of Big Ben and I wanted my moment of peace while soaked in the beauty. But trust me the beauty-soaking regimen is no mean task when you have someone saying 'Oh My Goooood. This is so beautiful. Aren't we lucky? My Dad has seen this. He's taken pictures. Some 30 years back! I have to call home and tell them I saw this....(my mind switching off)' I know all of this! I could do without the verbal onslaught, REALLY?!

So it's just been working like a maniac all day, traveling to places like a maniac in evenings. At this rate, I could very well pass out for a couple of days by the end of this trip. Also, I probably should increase my intake of energy drinks because I've been OD-ing on excitement and adrenaline, thanks to the thought of meeting Naina and already meeting Sagnik.

In the midst of all this, I've kept my Laptop and Phone times on IST (Indian Standard Time), I don't know why, but it makes me miss you and the guys a little less. I'll look at the time, it'd be 12:30PM and I'd be like, 'Oh, they'll be lunching.' or it'd be 3PM and I'll go 'Ahhh...afternoon smoke break.'

London is great, but, you are better, B! (honest)

The Chinese Connection

So, you work your ass off. And there comes a point in the day when you think your brain is going to shut down, and you are going to pass out from just looking at another number, calculation or Excel sheet. Enter Mr. Ciggy. With Friends. A whole major discussion on pointless nonsensical things happen in the stair case, below the No Smoking sign. Noooo, we're not breaking any rules. Living on the EDGE, ya'll!

Except, when you are hanging out with a bunch of people who are what they are, you know, work is always snafu type? These particular lose-your-mind points in the day happen at least 4 or 5 times. And then we gather the whole lot and trudge towards our destination, all the while giving mental hi fives to each other about how we'll be living on the edge for like 10 mins!

But this is not about those smoke breaks. Well, it is sort of but not in it's entirety. You see, when you're me stuff happens - like you trip on air, forget your work badge everyday for a week, get locked out of your own house etc etc. So my friend, V noticed that whenever we tried to live on the edge in the staircase we'd be ALWAYS accompanied by some Chinese guy or group, invariably.

And sure enough, every time I walked to the staircase and was about to light my cig, there he'd come. I'm not saying they like me or any such thing. It's just that they are THERE...all the time. And sometimes even when I'm alone. This one day, all these guys were standing at the staircase waiting for someone to come along with a light because they so conveniently forgot to bring it. With no luck of course. As soon as I walked in... lo behold...that Chinese guy walked in too...a light in hand. I'm really starting to believe in this connection, damn!

V says it's because I'm short. And India is beside China. And he thinks when God was in his 'Give These Guys Some Freaking Location' mode he was throwing people down, practicing his aim and all. Which is frankly ridiculous. So all in all he threw me down to be put in China but he'd not mastered his aim yet...so I ended up in India. That's just dumb, but I have to say that's a hell of a lot of imagination!

The One Where I Did Nothing

April 11: I decided I am going to  start gymming for sure this time. No more dilly dallying, no more wishy-washyness about this shit anymore. I mean how does it matter if NONE of my friends go to the gym. EVER. What if they choose to smoke instead. I will evangelize this whole system. Well, I don't think it's actually a system when a group 6/7 people are doing it but hey imma call it anything I want. I could feel the steel of a resolve building inside of me. Hell to the Yes!

April 12: We got up AFTER the office cab had arrived. So we literally had like 10 mins to get ready...or less. Yea well, that's how we roll ya'll. And out of those 10 mins I spent 8 mins on deciding whether I should carry my gym clothes to work. Is this the right day for me to start gymming? Can my metabolism take the sudden change? What if in the long run it affects my health? Finally I was like FUCK IT lets get this show on the road.

After a whole day's worth of work with my energy levels at an all time low I decided since I am in office till about 11 PM today let me wait out the boredom and low energy levels till I am my gymmy (?) best.

1 hour.

2 hours.

Didn't happen. And then I ate. Everything the cafe was serving. So my blood constitution is probably something like this:

(in order of count/number)

1. rice molecules
2. potato moleciles
3. ice cream molecules
4. red blood cells

So here I am at 9PM. Sitting in a meeting room. Wearing my Gym clothes. I don't know what the fuck made me wear them because NOW I'm too lazy to change back into my normal clothes. Try to lose weight comes with a shit load of crap! There's gotta be an easier way. Like may be not eating for a month. Maybe then I can shed a kilo/pound whatever.

Don't ask me why! Having sex with lights on is of utmost importance to me. Fuckface!

Life Should Be A Musical, Music Monday #1 & Too Much Work

Sometime I feel the need to burst into a spontaneous song once in a while. Like 'Du Hast Mich' when I'm disagreeing with my boss, or a happy 'Candy In The Sun' on a particularly good Sunday, or 'Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For you' when I feel my love for Mr. B overflow (cheesy, I know). You know, something to make the moment perfect, something to bend the light and freeze it forever. So I kid you not, but I SINCERELY believe that my life should've been a musical. Is it just me or are there more of you out there? Please say yes, tell me I'm not crazyyyy....Aaarghhh!

Anyhoo...So here's to a Music Monday. This Adele is totally winning my appreciation hands down. She's sooooo talented and I love the texture of her voice, it's amazing. Ok fine, I'll stop before I sound like a creep. But seriously you guys should check her out. I love. Especially 'Someone Like You.' A little sad...but infinitely amazing. Here you go:

Also, I need some complaining to do. I am drowned in so much work that I have hardly any breathing time. That just sucks. I'm waiting for a day when I have something positive to say about my work. Soon, should be soon. Sigh.

Cya guys later :)

KazKaz

I'm such an effing optmist! Sarcasm alert.
I was making this iTunes playlist on my iTunes ofcourse named KazKaz. Reason? I was thinking if I had to spend my last day ever with Blackberry what are the songs I'd want playing in the background or not-so-background. You know? I bet you dont! I'm just an effing epitome of optimism sometimes. I think of the best things, the most brilliant things. ARGH!

Anyway, this is what is coming up. My 'Own Your Beauty' post. It's this year-long campaign by BlogHer. This is the brief on it: "Own Your Beauty is a groundbreaking, year-long movement bringing women together to change the conversation about what beauty means. Our mission: to encourage and remind grown women that it is never too late to learn to love one's self and influence the lives of those around us - our mothers, friends, children, neighbors. We can shift our minds and hearts and change the path we follow in the pursuit of authentic beauty."
I got this cool widget of theirs too :)
